Morton joined Oak Ridge in 2006 as Senior Vice President - Investments in the Private Client Services Group. He began his career in the financial services industry in 1961 as a research analyst with Piper, Jaffray & Hopwood, where he has also co-founded and co-managed their institutional department (1965-1973). Morton was a general partner (1969-1971), Senior VP and assistant to the Chairman of the Board, Merchandise Manager, Chairman of Investment Policy Committee (1972-1978), Senior VP of Marketing (1981-1989), and Managing Director of Portfolio Strategy and Financial Planning Development (1989-1996) at Piper Jaffray. He earned his CFA in 1967. To manage clients’ financial and investment affairs consistent with their risk tolerance and orientation, Morton constructs and manages portfolios to meet their cash flow requirements. He monitors the client’s portfolios for consistency with their goals, objectives and investment strategy. Communication and client involvement are essential to this process and asset allocation and diversification are key elements to his approach. Morton received his BS in Finance and History and BBS in Accounting from the University of Minnesota. He has also been a board member for AAA Minneapolis, Minnesota Seed Capital Fund, Minnesota Council on Economic Education, Minneapolis Jewish Federation, Jewish Historical Society of the Upper Midwest, and Jewish Community Relations Council of Minneapolis. He has also served as Deputy for Piper Jaffray (1976-1994). Morton enjoys skiing, traveling, art, music, and playing tennis
