Derek McCready

Derek joined Oak Ridge Financial in March 2026.

Derek began his career in financial services as a Financial Advisor with Prudential before joining Oak Ridge Financial in March 2026. Prior to entering the financial industry, he worked as a school counselor in Iowa and coached baseball, football, volleyball, and strength and conditioning. He holds his Series 7, Series 66, and Minnesota Life and Health Insurance certifications.

Derek earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and a Master’s degree in School Counseling from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa

Outside of work, Derek spends his time attending sporting events, golfing, enjoying concerts, and exploring new skills and interests.
